Our Approach to Book Development
Book publishers expect two basic things from their developers and other outsourced editorial services: Get it done on time, and get it done right.
Our proven track record of editorial success includes both of these elements, but it also goes well beyond the basics.
Our editorial team, led by company president Bob Temple, has been responsible for more than 500 children’s books – nonfiction and fiction, from illustrated picture books to 112-page biographies – for a wide variety of publishers. We offer:
- Complete book development, specializing in the children’s book market, from concept through to print
- Authoring services
- Editorial packaging
- Individual services such as fact-checking, proofreading, copyediting and indexing
- Preparing foreign product for the North American market
Our credits included numerous highly-reviewed and award-winning titles. Call for details!
When I was an in-house editor in the children’s publishing field, I once met with a book developer about a project. He had given me some preliminary pricing, we had discussed the project, and both sides were interested. I asked for a formal bid by the end of the week. “No problem,” the developer said. Two weeks later, I still had no bid. Question: If a developer can’t even get their bid in on time, when will the books arrive?
